HOW THE JAM WORKS

The jam is a first-come, round-robin-roster. When you arrive, check-in with the Show Wrangler and get on the list. Each time your name is called, you have the option to perform or pass.

PICKING A SONG TO SING

When making your song list, find songs that you know well.  If at all possible, practice your songs before you come out to the ranch. And though most jam musicians are either local legends, seasoned pros, or naturally talented players, some are just getting started. The one thing everyone enjoys, are songs that are easy to play.

STYLE OF MUSIC: Country music. Happy songs. Easy to play. Dance-able.

Keep in mind this is a positive, uplifting social. Over the years we have learned that everyone (musicians, dancers, and audience) enjoys music and songs that are: country, happyeasy to play, and dance-able

SINGER/SONGWRITERS: If you are a singer/songwriter, and you want a great bunch of people to be able to play, dance, and appreciate your music, the styles folks enjoy most are suitable for the:

two-step, waltz, line-dancing, cowboy/traveling cha cha, polka (ten step), western promenade, and east/west coast swings. If your songs and music are a fit for these dances, you'll have a great time too.

We even have picks.

picks are sponsored in part by our friends at

Clayton custom picks.
